Nsuaem in a state of shock as 10 residents die in gory accident whilst attending a funeral in CR
The Nsuaem community in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality has been thrown into a state of shock after a gory road accident claimed the lives of ten (10) of its residents on Saturday, September 6, 2025, along the Accra–Cape Coast highway.
The Assembly Member for Nsuaem, Hon. Daniel Yaw Prah confirmed the incident in an interview with Agona Ahanta-based WestCoast TV. He explained that the victims were on their way to a funeral at Agona Bobikuma when the Mercedes-Benz bus they were traveling in collided with a Rhino truck near Saltpond in the Central Region.
“Unfortunately, we lost 10 of our people; 8 died instantly and 2 died later when receiving medical treatment. They were all traveling together in the Benz bus,” Hon. Prah said.
The accident also claimed the lives of the Rhino truck driver and another occupant, bringing the total number of fatalities to 12.
Four people, including an infant, survived the crash and are receiving medical attention.
